Love this giant flamingo float! Here's where to get it... #kellygolightly #sydnestyle #sydnesummer #flamingofloat #giantswan #sunnylife #funboy

How’s your week been? I’m sure I’m not alone, but I’ve had a case of the mean reds. But I’m really trying to turn those mean reds into happy pinks and focus on all the things I have to be grateful for, like… the fact that Fred Baby’s parents just got to town last night and we get to catch up with them this weekend. Hoping it looks something like this. The weather has been a dream, the skies have been magical and I’m just trying to breathe it all in.

Do you have any fun weekend plans? I’d love to know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods. Cool and crisp? Will you be leaf-peeping or apple-picking or pumpkin-patching?

We’ll also get to catch up with a few friends and celebrate the opening of Christopher Kennedy’s new shop in the Uptown Design District. There might be some open-housing too. Or not. Honestly, I might just park myself on a pool float like my beloved Mingo all weekend. TBD…

Hope you have a great one + here are some weekend links for your reading pleasure…

WEEKEND LINKS

14 things to do with friends other than dinner. I love #1 and #13. How about you?

Sarah Silverman’s new show I Love You America premieres on Hulu next Thursday and can’t come soon enough!

My dear friend Sal is raising donations for Mexico earthquake relief in memory of his beautiful mother. If you’re able to help at all, it’s much appreciated.

What’s the best trip you’ve ever taken? I have several for different reasons but Cannes and Capri top my list for pure joy, and Hong Kong for adventure. But all-time favorite? The cross-country roadtrip that landed us in Palm Springs for one night, which turned into one week, which turned into months…

Eight uniquely LA experiences there should be a German word for.

Marc Maron’s new book Waiting for the Punch is available for pre-order, but I highly recommend listening to this very moving Waiting for the Punch podcast, which gives you a taste.

Library goals.

Millennial pink cookware, anyone? Le Creuset’s new line of pale pink cookware is everything. Ditto their similarly hued Hibiscus line. I want thisthisthis, this and this. Different brand but how cute is this pink cookware set (and the price can’t be beat!). Also, an ombre pink pepper mill?! Yes please!

Also, all the retro SMEG appliances. Debating between this mint blender or this cream blender.

Instagram is sucking all the fun out of things with their new changes. Bri’s post about Instagram is everything I’ve been wanting to say. Are you dealing with the same struggle?

Did you ever read the Tales of the City series? I did when we lived in San Francisco and am excited that author Armistead Maupin has a new memoir out. There’s also a documentary. Here’s the trailer.  And Netflix is developing a Tales of the City series! Here’s a You Tube interview with Maupin at the 92nd Street Y.

Have you been following Bethenny Frankel on Twitter and seen what she’s been doing to help in Puerto Rico? Incredible. Here’s how you can help Puerto Rico right now.

On Kelly Golightly this week:

My secret source for designer shopping + where I got my Golden Goose sneakers for $150 off.

How to help Las Vegas + a gentle reminder to practice self-care right now.

Hugs my loves xo.
