You’ve likely seen these iconic Golden Goose sneakers with their signature stars popping up on fashion girls, celebrities and street style stars.
I was intrigued because they really do make any outfit look cooler. But at nearly $500 a pair, that can be a lot to swallow.
So I kicked up my heels when I found out about Italist.com, the world’s first online marketplace fully dedicated to top luxury brands, where you can find the exact same Golden Goose Superstar sneakers as elsewhere but for 30% less (these were $350)!
Bonus: All that money you saved you can now spend on other amazing designers you can find on Italist like Pucci, Valentino, Gucci, Anya Hindmarch, Sophie Hulme, Delpozo, A.P.C., Bally, Acne Studios, Sophia Webster, Christian Louboutin, Celine and Ferragamo.
Italist carries over 200 luxury brands. You are using the platform to import directly from Italy and skipping the middle man, hence the lower prices. Plus, some of these brands you can’t even find anywhere else online. It’s really a fashion girl’s dream come true.
If you’re wondering if Golden Goose sneakers are actually comfortable, they are. VERY. They also have a hidden wedge inside which pushes your foot up, making you appear taller and your foot look smaller. They make your gams look good!
I’m SUPER sensitive when it comes to shoes. I was able to wear these without socks from day one and they didn’t rub, so they’re perfect for running around town and for traveling.
Now about Golden Goose sizing… I am wearing a 38 (I usually wear a 7.5/8 in US sizes, typically an 8 in sneakers and boots). These fit perfectly, so are true to size.
They’re super versatile too. While you can pair these Golden Goose sneakers with denim, they also look great with dresses and skirts. Here I styled my Golden Goose Superstar sneakers with a slip dress. (I also love this pair + this pair, which are nearly identical to the ones I got.)
I wore a tee under the slip dress and added my favorite sweatshirt on top, ideal for the summer-to-fall transition.
Like the best denim, Golden Goose sneakers are meant to look worn-in and distressed for a vintage feel.
As for Italist, they carry SO many different pairs of Golden Goose sneakers. I had a hard time deciding, but ultimately went with this pair with golden accents and couldn’t be happier because, as you know, I’m a golden girl at heart.
Which Golden Goose sneakers would you choose?
As for shipping, it was super fast (just 4 days!).
If you’re in a shopping mood, check out Italist.com!

So cute!!!! I love them!!
Thanks Kate! They’re super comfy too! These will be my go-to shoes for a long time.
Italist is the worst. For a $120 item, they require a signature for delivery using DHL. You must be home from 9-5 Monday through Friday (although if you call DHL, they will tell you that residential deliveries are after 5, unless you’re on the commercial route … so you must be home ALL DAY to get your package). There is no way around this because the Italist requires it. And they don’t tell you this before you order. And when you contact them about it, they do not help you. They basically say “good luck” and disclaim any responsibility for processing a return if you simply try to have the package returned to them. I’ve never had a worse experience.
