Darlings, with all of the recent world events taking place, I think it’s time to go to our happy place. Field trip to The Parker Palm Springs, anyone? Great, grab your cameras and your hats!

Ooh, don’t you just feel so groovy in the vibrant mid-century mod interiors by super-talented decorator Jonathan Adler? He’s the king of happy chic and this room is a total upper. An explosion of colors and a mod mix of textures, I’m ready for martinis by the fire pit. You too?

Ooh, check out the swinging chairs! Let’s sit in them, okay?

Whee! I must have one for my LA pad. You too? Maybe we can get a bulk discount…

These chairs look comfy too. Let’s come back later for a drink and to discuss Voltaire? Or Veronica Mars. Either way. All of this talk about using our cabezas later is making me hungry. Why don’t we go see what we can find…

Light and lemony griddle cakes with Devonshire cream? I guess that counts, just don’t tell my lovah (he might get really, really mad). Aaaah. I don’t know about you, but I need to walk off these pancakes, like pronto. Let’s cruise the property, shall we?

Ohmy. Who would have expected this Greek revival (?) building in this mid-century mod mecca? Somehow it totally works. Love the ivy too.

PSYC. I wonder what that could be… Oh, it’s the spa at The Parker. Palm Springs Yacht Club. I get it. Clever monkies. Perhaps I should pop in for a pedicure? Okay, you’re right. Not now, but let’s totally make a weekend of The Parker sometime soon! This warrants more than just a brunch or spa visit.

We can even bring along our knights in shining armor! And see what the rooms look like.

If they’re anything close to this, I’m never leaving. Never.
