When we were in San Francisco this past week, I fell in love with this pink Christmas tree. It’s like the flamingo version of a Christmas tree! It broke my heart not to be able to bring it back home with us (it didn’t fit in my carry-on and it was an ouch-inducing $185). So, the minute we got back to LA, I started to search eBay to see what I could find…and lo and behold, the very same pink feather Christmas tree starting at just $30! I instantly added it to my Vintage Christmas collection (cross your fingers that I win it!).
That single tree inspired the entire inspiration for our vintage Christmas décor this year – a very pink Christmas! Luckily, Fred Baby isn’t putting up too much of a fight. Making my heart go pitter patter? Pink flamingo ornaments, shiny pink bulbs, pink trees and wreaths. It’s my favorite eBay Collection yet!
Have you started any eBay Collections yet? It’s super addictive for vintage lovers and treasure-hunters like yours truly. It’s funny, at dinner recently, Em Hen and I were talking about shopping. She said that she could shop for seven hours straight. I confessed that I actually don’t really like shopping in person that much (blasphemy, I know), unless it’s for vintage, then I can shop until the break of dawn in person or online (but not beginning at the break of dawn, which is why I can’t do flea markets – I can never wake up in time to score the good stuff!).
Anyway, this is why I’m all over this new eBay Collections. You can save all the vintage treasures you find (without having to wake up early!). It’s kind of amazing. If you haven’t yet, I highly recommend checking it out.
And be sure to follow me & follow my collections!
Plus, see how you can win $25,000 just by sharing your favorite collections. Think of the pink Christmas trees you could buy…

I love the pink Christmas tree – I hope you win it! I just bought a mini pink tree for my niece’s nursery – it’s her first Christmas and I need to spoil her! The hubby and I are going for a swanky white tree this year. Hope all is well! xx
So cute to get one for your niece! I didn’t win the 4 ft tree but I did get a 3 ft version, which actually works out better. Whew! We have a white tree in Palm Springs! They’re the best because they’re a blank slate. I bet that looks perfect in your Mad Men home! Give my best to the Obamas xx!
Hi Kelly! Love this post and just followed your ebay collections. Fun!
Where did you get your white tree that you have in PS? We are doing a white tree this year at our place in LA and just thought I’d ask you if there is one you like best. Our style is mid-century modern and a white tree is perfect I think! Thanks!!
How fun! We got ours from JCP when we lived in San Francisco about 4-5 years ago. Here’s a peek at ours:
