I’m not sure if it’s the shift in seasons or Mercury or what, but so many people I know and love seem to be struggling right now with feeling overwhelmed with work and life, wondering What am I doing with my life? and not knowing if they’re making the right choices (myself included). Are you feeling it, too? Well, lean on me, friends…
Funnily enough as I was putting together this post, I came across this interview with Oprah in which she touches on how to know if you’re making the right or wrong choices. (Hint: You already know; you just have to listen.)
The struggle seems to be when we deviate from the inner voice. I think with social media and the constant stream of input that we expose ourselves to, it’s easy to get off track and distracted. Or you think you’re doing great and then you see what other people are up to and you get a serious case of FOMO (fear of missing out) and not feeling like you’re having as much fun or being as successful. Comparison is the thief of joy. But we all run our own race and have different definitions of what success is. And goodness knows everything seems to take 10 times longer than you ever would have imagined.
Here’s to keeping up the good fight, listening to your gut, and knowing that we’re all in it together. And leaning on each other along the way.
