Bermuda shorts. The name alone makes me shudder. It’s the one trend this season that I said “no way” to when it hit the runways. But never say never, right? Something in me took it as a personal challenge: Can I make Bermuda shorts work? I’m surprised (no, shocked!) to say, I think I can.
Here’s how I styled a pair of Citizens of Humanity Bermuda shorts for a romp through Palm Springs (and also meet my new favorite shoes & most comfortable heels of all time).
Tie-dye isn’t something I’m normally drawn to, but in my pursuit to take a break from myself, I’ve opened up my mind to more possibilities, style and otherwise. And now this Red 23 tie-dye top is a favorite. I paired it with a Kelly Wearstler blazer, which is kind of tie-dye-esque in its own right and somehow it works.
Continuing the print-on-print theme, I added these Tsubo snakeprint heels to the mix. I cannot get over how comfy (and cool!) these heels are. Not only have they gotten compliments galore and add an instant edge to everything, they have all sorts of comfort-inducing technology (padded footbeds, etc.) that it’s practically like wearing tennis shoes. I’d never worn Tsubo shoes before but am now a convert.
What do you think? Would you try denim Bermuda shorts this summer?
