Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Here’s what we were up to, plus another idea on what to wear to a holiday party: party pants!
Can you believe it’s already December 7th? Time is flying! Christmas will be here before we know it. And Hanukkah started yesterday. Happy Holidays to those who celebrate!
Despite Fred Baby being down and out with a bad cold, we still managed to get in a little holiday cheer this weekend. After the neighbors laughed at our sad attempt at Christmas lights last year that only made it partially up one palm tree (I guess they weren’t so impressed with our flock!), we strung some white lights up on our hedges, which, after three long years, have finally formed a hedge wall (can I get a hallelujah?). We also watched Love Actually and went to the Parade of Lights in Palm Springs for the first time. I love small town events like this that make me feel like we live in Star’s Hollow, albeit a very mid-century version.
Okay now, back to these pants! I am super particular about pants. In fact, one browse through my outfit archives and you’ll probably notice I hardly ever wear them (unless they’re sequin pants!). Quite frankly I find them uncomfortable. I hate anything pressing on my waist and I fidget like a seven-year-old forced to sit at a desk in elementary school. But the moment I laid eyes on these pink pants, I was head over feathery heels. I prayed the to the pants gods that they might be comfortable and lo and behold, my prayers were answered. The paper bag style with the darling bow tie waist means they’re meant to be worn on the looser side, so unlike most high-waisted pants, you can wear these all night long and even have dessert. (They come in other colors too so I might even scoop up a navy pair.)
Wouldn’t they be super cute for a holiday party? Party pants for the win!
Sizing Tip: I’m wearing a size 6, which fit more like a 2/4.
What I’m Wearing:
