St. John really brought the sophistication to New York Fashion Week with its collection of glittering long skirts, leather belts and gloves, and look-at-me-I’m-rich gowns, all in a simple but luxe color palette of rich greys and creamy off-whites.

Trends continuing to stick around: fur, tights, and sequins. New trends we’ve been seeing and can expect to see lots more of come fall: the return of pants (think Katharine Hepburn meets Annie Hall), floor-grazing skirts (yay, eat all the gelato you want!), and fantastic gloves (did somebody say Great Gatsby?). What do you think of St. John’s fall 2011 collection?
