Video: Project Runway's Leanne Marshall's Spring 2010 Collection

Project Runway premieres tonight (10/9C — eee!), which got me to wondering about what past contestants and winners have been up to. Leanne Marshall had probably my favorite final collection of all the seasons, and it seems she’s only gotten better. Aren’t these pieces to die for? Leanne says her F/W 09 collection was inspired by the repetitive skyline of her new home-base, New York City, and the fantasy of glamour one has when moving to a big metropolis. Lovely.

Pretty, pretty, pretty – and just peachy (love that hue). It’s also so great to read an up-and-coming designer’s honest thoughts, like “Sometimes this all just feels like a very expensive hobby.” So relatable.
