Summer Wedding Gift Idea

It’s wedding season (and hostess gift season!) so I wanted to share a fun way to give a summer wedding gift, bridal shower gift or hostess gift. 

When it comes to weddings and bridal showers, I like to get something from the registry, but also add a special touch. And because regular gift bags always bum me out since I know they’ll just go straight to the trash after the gift is opened, I like to use actual baskets (or ice buckets/champagne buckets!).

And this Oh Joy! for Target picnic basket is my favorite for summer. Bright and cheery, it makes the ultimate gift basket, especially when you fill it with fun picnic essentials.

For a recent bridal shower gift, I included six champagne glasses from my friend’s registry, plus added a bottle of sparkling wine, a small marble cheeseboard and a yummy cheese. In the words of Ina Garten, who wouldn’t want that? The watermelon balloon is the cherry on top.
