Legwear continues to get more and more interesting, but just when leggings are taking a little bit of a backseat (update that look by wearing tights under shorts), socks jump out in front.
Socks meant to be seen that is, meaning channel your inner kindergartener and prepare to don knee-high and ankle socks with heels and skirts/dresses/shorts, etc.
Sure, you’re probably thinking those hipster girls on the Lower East Side or in Tokyo are the only ones who can pull it off, but the look has hit the mainstream, at one of our favorite purveyors of luxury goods for less, J.Crew.
We’re loving the neon pink anklets (on the model) but will likely ease into the look with more conservative grey knee-highs. The fishnet anklets will be hard to resist.
Where to sock it to ’em?
Right here.
