Happy Hump Day! How have you been? Here’s what we’ve been up to + my favorite new accessory that’s destined to become a “blogger favorite.”
Fred Baby and I were both down and out with a bad cold for all of last week, and finally felt well enough to leave the house this weekend, which was very exciting. There’s only so much bad TV you can watch before going stir crazy.
We took it slow with a quick visit to the pumpkin patch in Yucaipa (how pretty are these?) on our drive from Palm Springs to LA on Saturday.
We also finally sold one of cars we’ve been meaning to for months now (thank you CarMax — couldn’t have been easier as we walked in, had a non-negotiable price within 30 minutes, and then they cut us a check — highly recommend).
We’d gotten Max (the name of our car — do you name your cars too?) when we lived in San Francisco and opted for European delivery on it, so had lots of fun memories in it, from zipping around the Alps and castle-hopping to a cross-country drive across the US when we were “home-free” but it was time to let it go. Thanks for the memories, Max!
On Sunday, we had a lazy, last-minute brunch with friends at Cecconi’s and then did some sprucing up of the apartment. I know I’ve been talking about that forever but photos to come soon. We’re almost there, scout’s honor.
This week has been business as usual but it’s been so nice to wake up in the morning feeling healthy in a home we enjoy being in. The things we take for granted. Hope everyone has a great week!
Oh, and this pink hat, get it! I almost bought a similar pink hat a few years ago, but the fit was too small. However, it had been one of those items I’d regretted not getting just because I loved the color. But I’m glad I held off, as I love the more generous size and shape of this pink hat and the price was right too. It’s one of those items that I predict will be a blogger favorite (you know the ones that pop up on every blog you read — my friend Joy has it too) and will sell out soon, so if you like it you might want to scoop it up stat.
Update: The link is being wonky, so you might need to click here & type “plantage floppy hat”into the search bar.
GET THE LOOK:
