As someone who has been blogging since dinosaurs laid eggs, it’s so fun to see how fashion blogging has evolved. Blog used to be a four-letter word (well it is a four-letter word, but you know what I mean). It’s funny to think that bloggers used to be shunned by Fashion Week and now they’re being invited (and sometimes paid) to sit front row. As blogging has become an actual industry, it seems there are an infinite number of fashion blogs…and I for one love it. Everyone has a unique viewpoint and twist on things and I say the more the merrier!
I’ve been waiting for the day that instead of seeing what celebrities are wearing in magazines, we’d see bloggers. Or at least see both side by side. Which is just one reason I am so excited about ADOR.
If you’re not yet familiar, ADOR is like the lovechild of Pinterest and US Weekly, but solely with photos of outfits worn by bloggers and celebrities.
A customizable and shoppable fashion magazine, the focus isn’t just on what people are wearing, but how they’re styling it. ADOR is outfit inspiration galore, all in one spot, and it’s all shoppable.
The format is very editorial, and you can customize your feed or “magazine” by choosing which bloggers, celebrities and styles you want to follow.
I’m stepping in this week as a Guest Curator, sharing one of my favorite trends: shirts with words (I can’t help it, I’m a writer at heart — I love the written word!).
Check out my Word Up editorial & be sure to follow me on ADOR! It’s a really fun site, I think you’ll love adore it.
