I love a good challenge, so I’m EXTRA excited to show you WHICH room I’ll be making over in just 6 short weeks — eep! Behold the BEFORE pics + the inspiration for the space…

Drumroll please…

The room I’m making over is…

My friend Kristen’s office in downtown LA!

Who is Kristen?

You may remember Kristen from when we teamed up on this bar cart makeover?

Or from when we hosted Friendsgiving?

Kristen also designed this sunny changing room in our home, Villa Golightly, so it’s fun to turn the tables and return the favor.

As one of my dearest friends and a creative powerhouse, I’m thrilled to be working on this project. I mean, look at those windows and that view of downtown LA!

Kristen is the mastermind behind CarpeCreative Studios, a creative content agency, and just signed the lease on this new office and studio space.

I’ll be tackling the office portion of CarpeCreative, which you can see here.

But How’s This Gonna Go Down?

It’s an amazing blank canvas and while we share a love of many things — The Golden Girls, bar carts, Designing Women, disco balls, classic movies and Old Hollywood glamour, among them — what’s fun is that Kristen’s aesthetic isn’t exactly the same as mine…

She’s the Marilyn to my Audrey — literally, so it will be fun and interesting to bring her dream office to life.

Here’s a look at the inspiration board Kristen shared with me….

I love pink and green, but I love that Kristen’s take on it is a bit moodier and sexier with glamorous jewel tones.

I love the direction she’s wanting to go…so now it’s time for me to get to work!
