My Word of the Year 2019

In case you’re not yet familiar, picking a word for the year is kind of like New Year’s resolutions, except that it’s a word that encompasses what you’d like to focus more of the year on. Kind of like an overarching theme rather than specific goals.

I’ve only been doing this for the past few years.

Last year’s word was health.

And it worked! And by worked, I mean it helped me to keep focused on my #1 priority: getting and staying healthy.

Can you guess my word for 2019?

It’s SHARE.

You know that saying You can’t give from an empty pot? Well, the past few years as I was dealing with my health issues, I was an empty pot. But now that I’m feeling much better and stronger, I want to share!

We have so much to be grateful for and I want to share it. Share it by having friends and family come to stay with us so we can share our happy place with them. Share more experiences with others and to truly connect.

And ultimately, the reason I started blogging to begin with was to share. Ideas, resources, advice, fun finds, my life and inspirations so that it might inspire you.

While I wavered on SHARE as my 2019 word after my friend told me his 2019 word — F*ck it — which seemed really fun, it keeps popping up in my head every day.

So SHARE it is.
