Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned. For instance, our trip to Marfa has been more than a little unexpected so far.
It’s below freezing, there’s an ice storm, and the power went out in the entire town beginning at 2pm on Sunday. Zoinks! There also isn’t any gas or food to be found and there’s no heat in our Homeaway rental…or anywhere else in town for that matter, save for the fireplace at El Paisano.
Luckily, we were able to get to Alpine, a half hour down the road, and found a hot meal and a warm room for the night. We hope that Marfa will be up and running tomorrow, but just in case it’s not, before we fled we had to snap a few pics…because they just might be our last photos in Marfa this trip.
Here’s to rolling with the punches and holding each other a little bit tighter to keep warm.
Heart Sweater: Robbi & Nikki // Jeans: GAP (from last year) // Suitcase: Napa Dori via The Little Market // Suede Booties: Sole Society (last season) // Leopard Booties: Shoe Dazzle MARIANNY (on sale!)

ADORE these pics… so cool!
I was in Marfa this past weekend too, but left Saturday. My husband and I stayed in a teepee at El Cosmico, so I feel ya on the lack of heat. Brrrrr!! I hope you enjoyed your trip anyway. I’ll be blogging about mine tomorrow.
Brrrr indeed! Can’t wait to read your post! Please feel free to link to it here.
