Did you have a nice weekend, dolls? I did and I certainly got around. And by around I mean a round…belly (see above and below). It was our first weekend that didn’t involve moving boxes or visitors and we soaked up the leisurely lifestyle of our fellow angels by window shopping, eating, shopping, eating and, yes, eating. I bloat, therefore I am. The furniture stores along Abbot Kinney are so fun to poke around (and find things for your interior design clients and your empty tearoom– bonus!).

We nibbled on delectable paper-thin pizza and had the best hazelnut gelato outside of Rome and Paris at Gjelina in Venice (Beach, that is). The thin-crust pizza and redonkulous beats (think Ice, Ice Baby) coming out of Caffe Roma were something as well (any ladies in search of benefactors need only mosey up to the bar in Bev Hillz). We also strolled the Melrose Trading Post and lunched at The Farmer’s Market at The Grove (see exhibit B, salade de chevre chaud, above).

Then we rolled (really) on over to Design Star Emily Henderson’s viewing party in Los Feliz and celebrated Emily’s crushing victory with cucumber-serrano chile margaritas. She is a doll and a half and totally deserved to win and is even more charming and adorable in person (congrats, Emily!!!). Her new show, Secrets From a Stylist, premieres on August 29th (10/9C) so be sure to tune in to HGTV for great style and insider design tricks! It’s sure to be the shiz.
