Kelly's Klicks: Oscar Escapism

Darlings, after non-stop moving and unpacking (and unpacking and unpacking) I am le pooped! If I see one more box, I might just have to toss it (or myself) off of one of our new balconies (balconies that I’m at once excited and grateful to have but that also make me really nervous — I’ve seen one too many Hitchcock films!).

I digress. And how do I digress? By escaping into the world of New York Fashion Week and Oscar de la Renta. Holy smokes, did he knock it out of the park or what? I know fall hasn’t even officially started, but I’m already looking forward to spring. You too? It’s not easy to make neon look sophisticated but my friend (lie) Oscar did just that.

And that hair. It’s so Kelly Wearstler circa 2007 (love). Florals and feathers and frocks and frizz, oh my. I want it all. How about you? Now that I’m in an Oscar state of mind, I’m going to set my TiVo to record the Emmys this Sunday (the Oscars of TV!). I’ll need some more fashion and red carpet escapism as I tackle the rest of the b-word (I can’t even bear to say it).
