My darlings, will you be celebrating Mother’s Day with your mamas this Sunday? Sadly my Mom hasn’t taken my advice to move from Texas to California (yet) so we’ll be spending it apart, but I wanted to wish my beautiful Mom a wonderful Mother’s Day all the same. Thank you for being the one who always laughs at my jokes, and for making me giggle when you make up words, for reading these posts every single day, for baking me your famous chocolate cake every time I come home and, especially, for protecting me from that devilish girl (on the left) that you call your first born. I’m so glad you called re-do and had me. I love you, Mamala.

While I’m at it, I must wish my gorgeous Mami-in-law a happy Mother’s Day as well, even though she doesn’t celebrate it (Hallmark holiday). You created the best gift I’ve ever received, that little darling in the priceless sweater, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Lots of love to all the Moms out there today, including my sister who’s raising the best kid I know, and some special friends who are amazing Moms and Moms-in-the-making.
