FLOATY WHITE DRESS

First up, can we talk about this floaty embroidered white dress? So ethereal right? It’s by San Antonio designer Cynthia Cazort Collins.

I love how pretty, feminine and floaty it is, plus the embroidery and ruffle details make it extra special.

AN EASY DRESS STYLING TRICK

I AODRE this dress. But while it was love at first sight, it wasn’t love at first fit. I don’t love my chest area so V-necks aren’t typically my friend and this one wasn’t doing me any favors. However, a quick styling trick I’ve employed many a time turned that frown upside down: I simply wore the dress backwards and VOILA, I’m in love!

Do you ever do that — wear a dress backwards?

HOW TO STYLE A WHITE DRESS FOR SUMMER

While I’m mentally SO ready for fall, it’s still HOT in Palm Springs and will be for a bit longer, so the easy breeziness of this dress feels so good. Light cotton dresses are pretty much the only way to survive a Palm Springs summer.

I styled this white dress by adding a frayed straw hat, mini straw bag, heart sunnies, neutral block heels and rattan earrings.

HOW TO STYLE A WHITE DRESS FOR FALL

Once the temperatures dip and autumn arrives, I’ll top this white dress with either a brown moto jacket, denim jacket (this is my favorite one) or a cozy cardigan like this, this or this.

A slinky brown tissue turtleneck layered underneath would be very chic too.

Then, just add boots — either booties or knee-high suede boots like these or leather boots — and you’re set.

Or, toss on a pair of clogs like these or these, which are very big this season.

A cute brown suede bag like this or this bucket bag would be the perfect accessory.
