Propelled by my spotting of this giant duck in Palm Springs, I went hunting for my own to adopt, naturally. In the process, I stumbled across something that made my head explode even more.
An even bigger ducky!
With a serious case of the wanderlusties.
Created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman to create happiness and spread joy around the world, Ducky’s traveled the globe from Auckland to Sao Paulo to Osaka. Ducky gets around!
And has been doing so since 2007.
How did I miss him?!?
Come to California, Ducky!
We’ll take long walks on the beach and eat froyo.
If your life suddenly isn’t complete without your very own giant ducky, the good news is that you can get a 6-foot-tall giant duck like the one I spotted in Palm Springs here (I first spotted one at the Khool Pool pop-up store in Palm Springs but I’m not sure if it’s still there).
I’m SO tempted to add this fella to the family. We have an outdoor shower and I’m certain Ducky would be very happy there.
And it seems you can also get a ducky like the one by artist Florentijn Hofman, but I’m not sure of its provence (a.k.a. Ducky’s a knockoff!).
Or you can start small and get a duck tub. Meant to bathe bambinos, I think this fella would be perfect for keeping drinks cool at your next shindig.
Which would you choose: duck, duck, goose?
