Happy first day of winter! My friend Kristen came over this past weekend and we watched Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Have you seen it? I hadn’t but found the colors SO inspiring. The pink with the red in the iconic Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend number at the end gave me all the heart eyes! Clearly I love color and today I’m excited to introduce you to someone who loves color as much as I do, Jennifer Lake of Style Charade.

Jenn and her hubby were in Palm Springs last weekend (they live in Chicago), and we were excited to finally meet in person.

We’ve been online friends and followers of each other for years now, so it was great to connect in real life — and introduce Jenn and Bob to Odee, of course!

It was good for the soul to spend time with friends this weekend, both old and new.

One of my goals for 2018 is to actually spend more face-to-face time with people. After all, isn’t that why we have Villa Golightly? To welcome friends over and maybe share a drink or two?

Cheers to more community in 2018 and making it an even more colorful year! Speaking of color, I thought it was fun that we ended up wearing pink and red, the color combo I swooned over in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes — as you can see here, it’s almost exact.
