Beverly Hills Hotel

Have you been to The Beverly Hills Hotel? I adore the Pink Palace! From the iconic Martinique banana leaf wallpaper gracing the interiors to the fabled history of stars being discovered by the pool, not to mention the signature color palette of pink and green, it’s like eye candy for the soul!

Beverly Hills Hotel entrance

So for our first week back in LA after moving in to our new place, a ladies lunch at The Beverly Hills Hotel was in order. Naturally, I had fun dressing up for this little field trip, or as I like to call it: an Inspiration Vacation! Here’s what I wore to lunch at The Beverly Hills Hotel and a peek at the storied grounds and property…

We had lunch at The Cabana Cafe and one of the best parts is simply walking to the cafe.

Citrus Trees

Shall we stroll and enjoy the fabulous design and decor together?

First, let’s meander through the hotel with its banana leaf covered walls… That’s the iconic Martinique banana leaf wallpaper, which you can shop here and here, if you’d like.

You can use code GOLIGHTLY50 for $50 off orders of $199+ here to add banana leaf and palm print goodness to your home.

The Spa

 Beverly Hills Hotel Spa

GASP! How fontastic is this font? Rumor has it that architect to the stars Paul R. Williams not only is responsible for designing the Crescent Wing of the hotel, the Fountain Coffee Room, and the Polo Lounge, but also came up with the famed “Beverly Hills” font.

More links to read up on Paul Revere Williams here.

Gray Malin Beverly Hills Hotel

Eeep! I spy my friend Gray Malin’s photography from his series shot at The Beverly Hills Hotel!

Faye Dunaway Terry O'Neill

And look, Terry O’Neill’s iconic photo of Faye Dunaway the morning after the Oscars!

Here’s an interesting backstory of Terry O’Neill ‘s “The Morning After” with Faye Dunaway.

p.s. Remember the re-creation shoot we did?

Even the carpet is chic! As are my lunch date Mary’s shoes

Neon sign of a hotel in the garden

Okay, let’s head back outside… Wandering around the grounds is so fun. To think of who has strolled here over the years — Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, literally a who’s who of Old Hollywood glamour.

Look! It’s the this famed neon sign amongst the lush flora and palm trees!

Oh, and check out the banana leaf patio umbrella! You can find stylish patio umbrellas just like it here, if you’d like to make your backyard look like a chic hotel…

Oh, it’s time for our reservation! Let’s head on down to the restaurant…

The Cabana Cafe

Ah, we’ve arrived at Cabana Cafe, the casual poolside restaurant at The Beverly Hills Hotel.

Shall we take a booth?

Or sit poolside?

Cabana Cafe Fruit Plate

Poolside it is! I’m not terribly hungry, but a fruit plate sounds lovely.

Beverly Hills Hotel Pink Boxes

Okay, that fruit plate was refreshing, but let’s get our extras to go (for the cute pink takeout box alone!) and maybe go do some celeb-spotting….

I spy with my little eye…the son of perhaps the world’s most famous singer.

Any guesses?

Before we leave, let’s meander around and snap a few photos…

This is a great spot!

Oops, except for accidentally locking ourselves out. Next time, we’ll remember to prop the door open or go another way!

That was divine. Thanks for joining me on an Inspiration Vacation to The Beverly Hills Hotel!

Where should we go next?

Green & White Dress

In addition to pink, green and white are the predominant colors of The Beverly Hills Hotel and I love a theme, so this new green and white striped dress was in order.

I honestly was a little hesitant when I ordered it that it might be too body con, as I typically prefer flowy silhouettes like my beloved caftans, but I’m happy to report it wasn’t at all. No riding up, no having to tug the bottom down. So if you’re hesitant, I hope that eases your qualms. That said, I ordered it from Nordy’s because their return policy is so easy, good and free.

Floral Cardigan

To top off the look , I added my favorite floral cardigan that’s based on a vintage cardigan that Kate Spade used to wear and love. I love the sweet, colorful embroidered flowers.

Accessories

As for accessories, these raffia sandals from Tuckernuck are super comfy and affordable (also available here). I love LOVE these Kate Spade raffia heels that my lunch date Mary wore and she said they are comfy. I might have to order them…

Next, I added these Lisi Lerch heart-shaped pearl earrings, a floral headband a gold bag to complete the look. The bag is Francis Valentine, but is no longer available but this is very similar.

Oh, and my green nail polish is by Gucci. I bought it for the bottle! What can I say, I’m a design junkie. You too?

Have you been to The Beverly Hills Hotel?

Are you gaga for the design and decor too?

Lunch at The Beverly Hills Hotel is such a fun inspiration field trip — and way more affordable than booking a room!

After visiting, I felt energized and like my brain had been plugged back in, just the dose of inspo I had been craving.
