It’s Friday! Who’s ready for a drink? This girl! I recently whipped up some adult snow cones, or granita if you will, for Evite Postmark, and since it’s as easy as combining crushed ice, fresh fruit juice and a little nip, why not enjoy one right now? It’s 5 o’clock somewhere!
In lieu of classic paper cones, copper mugs, typically used for Moscow Mules, add a glam touch — and the best part is you don’t even need a snow cone maker.

Strawberry Lime & Watermelon Granita
Combine in a blender:
- 2 cups Frozen strawberries
- 2 cups fresh watermelon (with rinds removed)
- 4 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 shot tequila
In a copper mug: Layer in shaved/crushed ice, topped with fruit juice/tequila puree; repeat until mug is full (we suggest three layers).
Garnish: Thread a strawberry and watermelon slice onto a toothpick. Add fresh basil.
Blueberry & Peach Bourbon Granita
Combine in a blender:
- 2 cups frozen blueberries
- 2 cups frozen peaches
- ½ shot bourbon
- 1 shot peach schnapps
In a copper mug: Layer in shaved/crushed ice, topped with fruit juice/bourbon puree; repeat until mug is full (we suggest three layers).
Garnish: Alternate blueberries with a peach slice on a toothpick. Add a sprig of fresh mint.
Grapefruit & Lime Tequila Granita
Combine in a blender:
- 3 cups freshly squeezed Ruby Red grapefruit
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 shot tequila
In a copper mug: Layer in shaved/crushed ice, topped with fruit juice/tequila puree; repeat until mug is full (we suggest three layers).
Garnish: Alternate lime slices with a slice of grapefruit slice on a toothpick.
