What Is Your Holiday Style?

What’s Your Holiday Style?

What’s your holiday style? Casual? Fancy? Something in between? I’m sharing three holiday outfit ideas and would love to know your favorite: skirt? pants? dress?

Holiday Outfit Idea

Holiday Style : Bow Skirt + Red Sweater

Whether you’re looking for something to wear to a holiday party or just like to dress festive for the season, a skirt and top with a sweater is a fun way to go. This black bow skirt has a wrap belt that you can either tie in the front or into a bow in the back (see that here). I couldn’t resist this tartan button-down, which is cute alone with this skirt. Or, you can layer a red cashmere sweater on top like I did here. I am having a big red moment right now (if you couldn’t also tell by the red flats and hair bow)!

What do you think? Are you a skirt girl?

Holiday Style : Plaid Pants

While any of these holiday outfits could work for a holiday party, this second outfit idea is on the more casual side. I am OBSESSED with these plaid pants — they feel like pajamas! So soft, and if you’ve been here for awhile, you know I’m not typically a pants person because most are so uncomfortable. Not these though — I am looking forward to wearing them in Nantucket in December for Christmas Stroll — and they don’t dig in at all, so I might be wearing them on Thanksgiving too. Speaking of, isn’t this gold puffer jacket so cute? I envision wearing it on a family Thanksgiving walk (a tradition of ours). If you live somewhere cold, pants are obviously a great option for a holiday party or gathering — and sometimes the only option! You can easily add tights underneath too for extra warmth.

What do you think of this outfit? Do you lean more towards pants or skirts and dresses?

Holiday Style : Little Black Dress

Finally, is there anything more classic and iconic than a Little Black Dress? This silky LBD is so reminiscent of Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s — in other words, an instant wardrobe classic you can wear for many years to come. It’s also super comfy and flattering too, as it just elegantly skims your body. For chilly evenings, toss on a faux fur-trimmed wrap, add chic black flats and you’re good to go. Instant Audrey!

Now tell me, as I’m so curious…
