Happy Monday, fronds! Did you have a nice weekend? Watch the Olympics? Clearly I was inspired (this frond weighs 20 lbs, which is about 19 lbs more than I anticipated when I asked Fred Baby to retrieve it from the gardeners who had just shorn our trees). In that spirit, 10 frond puns + 5 denim skirts that will take you from summer to fall.
But seriously, it was 105 degrees when we snapped these pics in the backyard.
And even though our photo shoot lasted only five minutes, immediately after I collapsed on the sofa.
The struggle is real.
While I may not be winning the actual Olympics any time soon, I think we can all agree that denim skirts deserve a gold medal in the All Arounds.
It’s the one piece I can think of that is easiest to transition from summer to fall. Wear now with a gauzy top, slip-on mules, a straw hat and statement sunnies. Wear in the fall with a cozy cashmere sweater and suede mules or ankle boots.
A total fashion champion in the wardrobe staples department, don’t you think?
