There’s something about white jeans that always feels so fresh. And these cropped white skinnies have become a summer staple. They’re the first jeans I reach for now that the weather’s turned warm. Here is how I wore them for an impromptu picnic yesterday…
Easily dressed up with heels and a blazer or down with tennies and a gingham top for a picnic, they’re the go-to jean for summer. I wore these white skinny jeans for a picnic yesterday at Paramount Ranch (which reminded me of a mini Pioneertown).
And though the setting was decidedly western, my outfit veered much more towards East Coast prep, thanks to a poppy cashmere sweater (from the J.Crew kid’s department, a great way to save a little money if you also haven’t grown since 1990) and a colorblock silk scarf.
My new bright blue Converse kicks made for comfy frolicking…and acrobatics.
Do you have any summer staples? I’d love to know…
Shop the look: \ JEANS: GAP (old but similar here and here) \ SWEATER: J.Crew kids’ cashmere sweatshirt
(also in adult sizes here
) \ SCARF: Vintage (similar here and here) \ SHOES: Converse Ox
in ‘Pool Party’ blue \ NAILS: Essie Braziliant \ GLASSES: SEE (old but similar here and here).
p.s. I just realized my entire outfit was gifted to me. Thank you to Helen for the jeans and sweater (which were destined for Crossraods until she generously let me steal them), my sister for the new birthday shoes, and my M-I-L for the vintage scarf that I am obsessed with. I am a lucky girl (and I swear I buy my own clothes…sometimes!).
