How are you doing today? One of the things that’s helping me to keep going is projects — and that’s whether I actually do them or not. I think I really enjoy the ideation process, the research, putting pretty mood boards together, shopping, etc. The project I’ve been wanting to do for a few years is a spruce up of our outdoor pavilion. Here’s why…

OPTION 1 FOR THE OUTDOOR PAVILION: GUAVA
Wait, is pavilion the right word? I don’t even know. My brain is a little mushy.
But you can see the poolside area here (scroll to the bottom of the post).
I know what you’re probably thinking… Are you insane?
I totally feel you. But this space designed by my friend, the amazing Gray Malin, only looked like this during the show house. After, the furniture went away.
So now, we have furniture that is totally fine, but not that inspiring. I want to give it a happy, colorful jolt.
I love these vintage-inspired pool chaises, outdoor chairs, and sofa in this bright guava hue.
And that white scalloped umbrella with the punchy guava hue on the inside is the perfect match.
What do you think?
OPTION 2 FOR THE OUTDOOR PAVILION: YELLOW
I ask because I also love those yellow patio umbrellas, and could see going that route too.
The outdoor sofa, chairs and pool chaises are available in so many different colors and patterns, including yellow… so perhaps going the route of where it channels The Parker or The Avalon is the way to go. Perhaps yellow cushions, or even black-and-white stripes?
OPTION 3 FOR THE OUTDOOR PAVILION: BLUE
Or, another option is to go blue.
Always calm, soothing, blue and white always reminds of the Mediterranean, Capri and the Amalfi coast.
Plus it would be more akin to the original space, designed by Gray Malin for the Christopher Kennedy Show House.
So, which way would you go: Guava, Yellow or Blue?
OPTION 4 FOR THE OUTDOOR PAVILION: PINK
Or, plot twist, should I go with the pink two-tiered umbrella I’ve been loving since last year (see last year’s patio umbrellas roundup). I also love this yellow and white two-tiered umbrella.

Hi Kelly, thank you so much for continually posting! It just makes my day to see your posts and always inspires me. I absolutely love Frontgate’s blue. I really liked all the colors you chose and even though I’m partial to pink, blue would probably be my next choice. Plus it plays well with your new front doors!
Thank YOU so much for saying that!
