While the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain (and by Spain, I mean LA where it is raining cats and dogs), I have visions of blue skies — and pink mingos — in my head.
Fred Baby and I were so excited to return to Mono Lake. And with a “friend” in tow.
If you haven’t yet been, GO!
It’s a magical moonscape about 30 minutes from Mammoth. It’s become a tradition to take the road less traveled when heading up to San Francisco for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We stay the night at the Westin Mammoth Lakes, have a hearty warm meal by the fire at Petra’s and then wake up to this. After breakfast, we hit the road for Mono Lake, a place Bonnie first told me about. And I’m so glad she did.
