Nail Art Party
Recently I received a Nail Art Kit, Nail Art Brush Set, and fun nail polishes, so I invited my friend and fashion pal Sydne Summer of Sydne Style over for a nail art party. We had a grand girly time painting our nails and eating the three Cs of lady food: cheese, cupcakes, and cocktails.
Here are a few pics in case you’d like to throw a little nail art party of your own and paint some party nails!
The Goods
I gathered all of my nail polishes, nail art pens and nail art brushes and put them in pretty silver dishes to glam up the girly afternoon.
To fuel inspiration, I made Peach & Burrata Bruschetta and put out a spread of cheeses, crackers, apples, nuts, and of course, mini cupcakes. (It’s dangeous — but also very convenient — to be walking distance from a Whole Foods.) So, we channeled our inner Real Housewives and sipped apple martinis and chardonnay.
Sydne painted these darling confetti nails by painitng a white basecoat and then polka dotting her nails with every color from the nail art kit.
Party Nails
Therefore, we dubbed them party nails!
I opted for neon pink with green polka dots. And lime green nail polish with pink polka dots. Plus, stripes!
The nail art kit is pretty genius in that it makes not only making polka dots easy, but painting on stripes too (like I did a few days ago).
Have you indulged in the nail art trend?
I’d love to get more creative and maybe try some new shapes like little hearts or flowers. These flamingo nail stickers would be fun and SO easy! And these Gucci nail art stickers look fun too!
Of course, this kit of hundreds of stickers would be the cat’s meow. But I love that you can buy a collection of stickers for only $7.50. Such a fun, easy way to change things up, you know?
Would you try them?

Thanks so much for having me over for the best nail party I’ve ever been to!
Can’t wait to do it again!
Both of your nails look great as does the party. The spread looks so yummy!
I haven’t gotten in to nail art but mainly because I work in a fairly conservative work environment and the thought of painting my nails that often drives e crazy. Maybe on my toes? 😉
Good idea! Toes are the perfect place to rebel in a conservative work environment, plus it’s so much easier to paint your toes than your hands (at least your right hand with your left hand!).
Such pretty nails and love love your photos (I came via Instagram :)) You have such a nice site and hope to keep in touch! p.s. I’m doing I’ll draw your portrait giveaway, come visit when you have time! xo akiko
