I’m loving all the pretty floral pieces for spring. They have such a romantic, effortless French girl vibe. And my friend Alle loved them too, as we both picked floral pieces. I went with this floral top and she went with this gorgeous floral dress.

Alle is a news reporter here in Palm Springs for KESQ and CBS Local 2 and is always on the go. Follow her on Instagram + Facebook to keep up with her adventures like interviewing Jon Hamm (#jealous) to having a grasshopper jump out of her shirt live on the air (#truestory). I definitely can see her on E! or co-hosting her own show in the future.

So, when we decided to meet up for our little “Friend Date” we wanted to keep it totally relaxed. I love entertaining at home, so we decided to just get together for a drink, catch up, and read magazines. Funny how that feels like such a luxury these days as our lives get busier and busier.

I love that Alle wore a dress that can easily go from being on camera or attending some fabulous event to being perfect for brunch with the girls or even date night. But is also so effortlessly chic that it works for having a low-key catch-up session in the backyard too.

As you know, I love the off-the-shoulder trend, so I went with this pretty top. I’ve been on the lookout for a cute pair of cropped jeans and these caught my eye.

Speaking of eyes, I also loved these sunnies in this pretty mint hue so scooped them up.

And I totally fell in love with these heels. I’ve been in a mostly flats mood lately, but when I go for a heel, I almost always go for a stacked block heel because they’re so much more comfortable.

And being suede, these heels are definitely comfy. I love the style so much I’m about to order them in the flats as well.

BTW: That “tablecloth” is actually a scarf!
