Happy Valentine’s Day, lovebirds! I’m back from a whirlwind trip to the Windy City and wanted to share pics from a fun event last week: the Julianne Hough for Sole Society preview. We were also treated to a screening of Julianne’s new movie with Josh Duhamel, Safe Haven, which is the perfect Valentine’s Day movie (and opens today!) if you’re looking for something Valentinesy to do (yep, I made that word up!).
See pics & hear what Julianne’s inspiration was for the collection…
Julianne said her inspiration for the collection was “sassy and classy.” Mission accomplished. The Addy flat was my favorite. The only question: Which color combo? At under $50, would it be a crime to get all three?
When I asked Julianne why she wanted to design a shoe collection (it’s not as if she isn’t already busy being a singer, actress and dancer), her answer was honest and endearing. She told me that when she was growing up, she used to go shopping with her mom and they would look at things and say “I could make that.” So, she did! Cute, right?
Julianne was a total doll — down to earth and inspiring — talk about a girl who is making things happen.
Julianne’s cute ensemble…
Fun on the red carpet with my sole sisters: Glitter n Glue, Devon Rachel, Red Carpet Roxy and Queen of the Quarter Life Crisis.
It was a great night out with Fred Baby and my blogger pals: Glitter n Glue, Walk in Wonderland, Devon Rachel, Red Carpet Roxy and Haute Pink Pretty.
After the preview of the shoe collection, we headed over to a screening of Safe Haven.
Julianne introduced the movie and then we were in for a roller coaster of emotions — Safe Haven is a romantic thriller and there are quite a few surprises. Let’s just say at least one of us cried. I won’t name names.
Safe Haven opens today, so check it out if love romantic movies as much as I do (it was written by Nicholas Sparks, the same guy behind The Notebook!).
Thank you to Sole Society and Julianne Hough for a fun night out!
