I spoke about hopping on the culotte bandwagon back in June (#culotteandthegang), and for New York Fashion Week I finally trotted out my culottes. What was once a trend I winced at has become one of the first items of clothing that I reach for. Fashion, you fickle friend. Here’s how I styled culottes to wear to the Rachel Zoe presentation at New York Fashion Week, which would also work well for the summer to fall transition.
I wore these culottes to the Rachel Zoe show with a graphic sweatshirt and heels, and then after to a Style Coalition brunch in SoHo. Then my darling Fred Baby met me for a romp around downtown — and brought me tennis shoes for the adventure #hero — and they worked equally as well. As temperatures cool, I’d pair these culottes with an oversized sweater for a cozy-chic downtown look.
