This pretty pink couch is the Hathaway Sofa in Royale Blush velvet and it’s SO soft!

Even though you all voted overwhelming for this pink sofa when I asked for input over on InstaStories, Fred Baby was hesitant.

But, he’s a man among men (wait, what does that even mean?) and once the pink couch arrived, he confessed to liking it.

Its pretty shape and soft blush hue works really well in the lounge, set against Tiffany blue and Kelly green.

Even Audrey is a fan. Since there was already quite a bit of color and pattern on the walls, I kept the styling of the pink couch simple by adding white faux fur pillows and a throw.

This room was originally designed by Roger Stoker and Michael Ostrow of Grace Home Furnishings for the Christopher Kennedy compound: Modernism Week Showhouse. And we LOVED it. They are to credit with the beautiful wallpaper, Tiffany blue wall, charming green lanterns, Audrey art and everything seen here.

For a showhouse and for things to photograph well for magazines, you often need to add more furniture and accessories for visual interest than you would for real life. So after the showhouse ended, some things stayed, some things went, some things got shifted around to different spots in the house. So we had been trying to decide how to decorate this room post-showhouse.

With the addition of this cozy but ladylike mid-century pink sofa, and this Jonathan Adler cocktail table we already owned, it’s now the perfect spot to sip cocktails with friends, as well as curl up on the couch with a good book.
