With the holiday season here, I’m excited to team up with Pacaso once again to share tips for entertaining in style. As a refresher, Pacaso makes second home ownership accessible and EASY through their co-ownership model –– taking care of everything for you, from maintenance to cleaning, to scheduling time in your home, so you can just focus on what matters: spending time with loved ones and making memories. And while Pacaso homes look like something out of a magazine (this one is called Casa del Sol), in the end it’s about connection, not perfection, so I hope you enjoy these 6 easy entertaining tips so you can just kick back and enjoy your time with loved ones this holiday season and beyond!

Holiday Hosting 6Ttips for Entertaining in Style
Step 1: Flowers add instant fancy to your fiesta!
I grabbed this bouquet from the grocery store — actually I had it delivered along with my groceries –so it couldn’t have been easier. I put them into this pretty pitcher that was in the home (every Pacaso home is professionally decorated and decked out so you’ll be proud to host friends and family for years to come) and it added instant life and color to the party.
Step 2: Music, what’s a shindig without it?
Whether you go old school and toss vinyl on the record player or fire up the old iPod (wait, do those still exist?), music sets the mood for your shindig. I collect old records, but when I’m streaming music, I search for Sinatra or Celia Cruz and it’s perfect as background music.
Step 3: Games, always a good time!
Games are always a fun ice breaker — even better if they’re cute! Each Pacaso home is equipped with kid-friendly games and toys that the entire family can enjoy. Twister, anyone?
Step 4: You ARE the decor! Wear something sparkly or festive!
If you want a quick trick for the best pics and getting everyone on the same page in a fun way, request a dress code. But in lieu of the typical broad dress codes like formal or semi-formal, instead request that everyone wear something sparkly or everyone wear red or stripes or Christmas pajamas or an ugly holiday sweater. Whatever you choose, it makes for cohesive photos and a fun bonding experience.
Step 5: Food! I love a classic cheeseboard.
What’s a gathering without nibbles? I love a classic cheeseboard. Tip: The more packed the board, the better. Start by placing the larger items on the board such as cheeses, meats and grapes. Then group smaller items together such as olives, berries, nuts, and crackers. Add a sprig of fresh basil or mint and you’re good to go. I like to add a few bowls of chips into pretty bowls too.
Step 6: Drinks! Whether you prefer bubbly or sparkling mocktails is up to you!
What’s a celebration without something fun to drink? I’m Team Bubbly but a good mocktail is a great choice too and a thoughtful option for those who don’t imbibe — as well as the little ones.
It’s as easy as that. Hope these tips for easy entertaining help you celebrate in style.
And remember it’s about connection not perfection , so just kick back and have a good time with your loved ones!
