When Harper’s Bazaar asked if I wanted to team up on a fun project, I nearly peed my pants. Which is okay because they gave me these chic silk pajamas by Equipment to change into. Win-win! Since chic pajamas always bring to mind the famous Terry O’Neill photo of Faye Dunaway the morning after the Oscars, a little re-creation shoot was in order to add to the Style Icon Project. The Scoop on Fashionable Emojis

When it comes to the most fashionable of emojis, Harper’s Bazaar is where it’s at. Bill Cunningham emoji? Check. Flamingo emoji? Check. Richard Avedon-inspired emoji? Check.

And now, Harper’s Bazaar has just released 40 new emojis, including stylish bites (kale, avocado), fashionable faces (Nicole Richie, Cara Delevingne), and sartorial superstars (fedoras, overalls, pajama tops).

Five of the new emojis were created exclusively for fashion label Equipment.

One emoji, called Pajama Party, is of these darling Equipment pajamas, which I was happily tasked with bringing to life.

How I Brought the Pajama Party Emoji to Life

I was inspired a little by Richard Avedon (graphic, white background) and a little by Faye Dunaway to do just that.

Which is fitting because Harper’s Bazaar inspires so many of my fashion fantasies.

My Inspiration: Faye Dunaway by Terry O’Neill

Since chic pajamas always bring to mind this Terry O’Neill photo of Faye Dunaway, a little re-creation shoot was in order to add to the Style Icon Project.

Pajamas and heels, anyone? The only thing missing: Oscar.
