Flamingo Fiesta Bar + Drinks

We’ve talked what to wear to a flamingo fiesta and what to eat, now let’s take a look at cocktail ideas and the bar from my pool party with L*Space!

To wash all of this down, I wanted something light and refreshing, so we mixed Skinnygirl Cocktails with Nekter cold-pressed juice for easy and refreshing cocktails by the pool.

My favorite drink was the Strawberita, a simple mix of Skinnygirl Sweeta’rita + Nekter skinny strawberry juice.

Also on the menu:

Slimonade (Slim Aarons lemonade): Nekter lemonade + Skinnygirl Sweeta’rita + pineapple juice

Swimsuit Sangria: Skinnygirl white wine + fresh berries + simple syrup

Mingo Mocktail: Nekter lemonade + sparkling water + pineapple juice

And my favorite:

Palm Springs Punch: Skinnygirl White Peach Margarita + grapefruit soda + fresh lime juice

For bar accessories, Our Heiday made the cutest cocktail menus, and flamingo glasses and Oh Joy! for Target ice buckets added a pop of color.

We topped drinks off with custom-made Krazy Straws that read L*Space and straws in the shape of — what else — flamingos. (Also, aren’t these Elephant Landing pineapple tablecloths — which we also used as picnic blankets — just the cutest? Proceeds go to an amazing cause too.)

I wanted the bar to feel like The Parker’s Lemonade Stand with bright yellow umbrellas and a preppy-meets-throwback feel.

And I wanted guests to feel like they could belly up to the bar – quite literally – and had a vision for this B-E-L-L-Y U-P sign.

While I wasn’t quite sure how to make my vision a reality, luckily my dear friend Miss Kris knew exactly what to do: Spraypaint wooden letters from your local craft store and then adhere to ribbon with a glue gun. Easy peasy!
