Happy Hump Day! Today I’m excited to share a look at the first thing you see when you walk in the door of Villa Golightly — the entryway! Why am I SO excited about it? Because it was designed by Kate Spade!

If you’ve read my blog or Instagram, you know I’m a Kate Spade girl through and through, so when I found out that Kate Spade would be designing a room for The Christopher Kennedy Compound: Modernism Week Show House, I was beside myself.
We have a lot in common when it comes to the aesthetics we like, both lovers of color, charm and nostalgia, with a playful twist.
Deb Camplin from Kate Spade Home implemented the design and I couldn’t love it more!
Here’s a full view. I love the Kate Spade striped wallpaper. It’s the perfect backdrop for colorful wall decor (similar abstract prints here + here) and for Kate Spade’s gorgeous furniture and lighting.
Isn’t that lamp so pretty? The sweet owl is a vintage find that Deb told me is a lucky charm they use on all of their shoots, so sadly he didn’t stay BUT good news: I tracked down nearly identical vintage copper owls, which are linked below.
But back to the art. Did you know Kate Spade recently added wall decor to their collection? It includes abstract pieces similar to the pieces above…
As well as these darling framed prints like the ones hanging above the door that read: Curiouser and Curiouser and Hello, Gorgeous. I’ve always loved how Kate Spade stores have the best interior design and go gaga for their gallery walls, so this addition is super exciting! Also super exciting, their lighting collection! You can see a peek of the Kate Spade pendant light that sparkles like jewelry in the above shot.
Of course, when it comes to Kate Spade, everything is in the details. I love this collection of vintage and new books topping this side table.
And how gorgeous is that little stool? Nice gams!
The perfect spot to rest your bag when you walk in the door.
This chest is darling too. The perfect home for a pretty lamp, a polka dot vase, a little candy dish and Mr. Owl.
Everything feels so feminine, optimistic and chic and I’m obsessed with that lamp.
What do you think? Do you love how the entryway turned out as much as I do?
Huge thanks to Deborah Camplin of Kate Spade New York for creating the perfect entrance to Villa Golightly!
And the perfect exit too. If you hadn’t yet seen, we ended up going with yellow doors and I’m so glad we did! They feel like a happy jolt of sunshine every time I see them!

And be on the lookout for the Entryway in an upcoming issue of Traditional Home magazine!
