One of the summer trends I’ve been most excited about is floral shorts. They’re so feminine yet retro at the same time, and they’re a fun change from my normal basic cutoffs. Here is how I wore mine for a hop, skip and flamingo through Yucca Valley.

While these high-waisted floral shorts would be cute paired with a denim top or basic tee, I was inspired by the desert hues to go all out and add a flamingo-hued printed top. Anything goes in the desert, after all. (I couldn’t resist flamingoing, either.) It helped, in 100-degree temps, that this top was vented in the back. And, the shorts, which are light as a feather and fit like a glove (sorry for the cliche overload), are my new favorite pair. (Sorry, blue beauties. It couldn’t last forever. Fashion, like love, is so fickle.)
