CUTE PICKLEBALL OUTFIT INSPIRATION

Slim Aarons photo, which graces the cover of this book that I have and love

While I may know next to nothing about pickleball, I do know where to gather inspiration. And my forever number one source for inspiration is Slim Aarons.

Clearly.

I’ve always loved this Slim Aarons tennis photo in the Bahamas, so looked to it for inspo on what to wear: a classic white tennis skirt/skort, 60s-inspired tropical prints, white canvas tennis shoes, a light sweater.

I added some preppy sunnies as well and a hat (it is Palm Springs after all).

And, this grasscloth bucket bag with an accent scarf seemed like the perfect companions.

Oh, and of course, a stylish cute pickleball paddle is a must!

Have you played pickleball yet?

It’s the fastest growing sport in America. Bill Gates — among  many others — describes pickle ball as a cross between tennis, badminton and ping pong. And those who play the sport refer to themselves as “picklers.”

But my favorite pickleball factoid, according to NPR, is that the sport was named after the originator’s dog, Pickles. How sweet is that? Talk about a sport I can get behind.
