Step 1: Find a cute pink-and-white striped dress.

This one is from Kiel James Patrick, an East Coast brand that I love, built by a husband and wife team. Sarah Patrick is the blogger behind Classy Girls Wear Pearls and her husband Kiel James Patrick is the photographer and creative director.

They’ve essentially built what is the next Ralph Lauren or Brooks Brothers and it all started with handmade bracelets. Don’t you love a good American Dream come true story?

Sadly this dress sold out, but there’s a similar long-sleeve version here and I’ve linked more cute options below.

Step 2: Add banana leaf/palm print accessories, like palm print heels or these palm tree heels!

Step 3: Add more stripes like with this reversible foldover clutch by Carrie Dunham!

Pink, green, white, stripes and banana leaf are hallmarks of The Beverly Hills Hotel.

I also added white earrings, a frayed sunhat, white heart sunnies and this darling ginger jar necklace also from Sarah Patrick’s new chinoiserie jewelry line for KJP.

This blue-and-white bracelet is part of her line too and I love it! It’s so delicate and pretty and the quality is so good.

Anything from the jewelry collection would make such a lovely gift.

Oh, and FYI, for heels, these palm print heels are surprisingly comfortable. They’re a much more affordable dupe to the Dolce & Gabbana version.
