This recipe was developed, like most good things, out of necessity and leftovers. On Thanksgiving we were looking to make a festive cocktail, and had just made homemade cranberry sauce. I got to mixing and created my favorite non-tequila cocktail to date — this Cranberry Cocktail! Grab the Best Holiday Cocktail recipe below…

The Perfect Holiday Cocktail: Cranberry Cocktail Recipe
This cranberry cocktail recipe is super easy to make (just 3 ingredients!) and is perfect for tree-trimmings, Christmas parties, Christmas dinner…or you know, a Wednesday night.
You could probably even make a virgin non-alcoholic version by subbing out the vodka for sparkling water.

Cranberry Cocktail Recipe
Makes 2 cocktails
INGREDIENTS:
Cranberry Sauce (I use this easy 3-ingredient recipe of fresh cranberries, orange juice and maple syrup)
Vodka ( I use Portland potato vodka)
Lemon
Garnish: fresh cranberries and basil
DIRECTIONS:
1. Add to shaker: ice, 2 tsp cranberry sauce, 4 oz vodka, squeeze of half a lemon.
2. Shake, shake, shake.
3. Strain and pour into pretty cocktail glasses (I love a coupe glass!).
4. Garnish with fresh cranberries and basil (mint or rosemary would work too).
Cheers!
p.s. I just realized this is essentially a cosmopolitan. Bring back the cosmo…said Carrie Bradshaw! 😉
