Hi loves! Sorry to be MIA. It’s been a weird week. Here’s what’s been going on…

I’ve been busy prepping for my party at ILORI this Wednesday at The Americana at Brand (will I see you there??), planning a Sugar & Shoes soiree on Friday (i.e. a holiday cookie decorating party that Sole Society is generously sponsoring #solesocietysoiree), packing for a trip to San Francisco this weekend for my friend Helen’s baby shower, and — most importantly — keeping up with everything going on with our friends on the East Coast. It’s an odd balance being happy and grateful for all of the good things going on here on the West Coast when so many on the East Coast are struggling and suffering (we are thinking of you!). Oh, and then there’s that little matter of voting. I’m sure you can relate.

But I’m following my blogging hero’s lead and continuing to post regularly scheduled content in hopes that it provides a little escape and happiness in your day-to-day. That said, remember you can text REDCROSS to 90999 to donate $10 at any time. (My strategy: I donate anytime I go to buy something for myself online. It’s the very least I can do.)

Speaking of, how rad are these shades from ILORI? I’ve really not been as adventurous as I want to be in my eyewear choices. But once I saw these sparkly round frames (above), I was sold.

I’m also crushing hard on these velvet frames. How fun would they be for fall?

Of course, I don’t yet own a classic pair of Ray-Bans either….

Which pair do you love most? Round sparklers? Velvet? Or Ray-Bans?

I’d love to know. And I really hope to see you at ILORI on Wednesday! In times like these, it makes me appreciate coming together as friends and a community even more.
