New York Fashion Week, kicking off this Thursday, may be the exclusive playground of fashion’s editorial elite, but Fashion’s Night Out is for everyone. And it’s not just in New York City this year. The Vogue-sanctioned event helmed by Anna Wintour, taking place this Friday September 10th, has expanded to cities across the US and the globe and I for one am excited about a giant ferris wheel being parked on Rodeo Drive (a receipt from shopping at any of the participating shops on Friday evening gives you a free ride!). Festivities galore, from cocktails and celebrities to celebrity chefs and demos, are planned at boutiques and major department stores around the world. Click here to see what’s going on in your town (LA events here)! And be sure to set your TiVo to record Fashion’s Night Out 2010 on Tuesday, September 14th at 10/9C on CBS (hello, Anna Wintour on le boob tube!). There will also be a live webcast of the Fashion’s Night Out Fashion Show on CBS.com today, September 7th, at 7PM ET if you didn’t score one of the tickets to attend in person that literally sold out within hours (Andre Leon Talley is hosting, oh my). A holiday devoted solely to shopping? That sounds like, well, Christmas. Ho, ho, ho lovelies.
p.s. There’s an iPhone app for that… Lustr is dishing up the info on all the events, celebrities and fashion at FNO. Click here to download.
