Happy Monday! Are you still wishing it were the weekend? Me too!

How did you spend it? We’ve had to keep things pretty mellow lately, adjusting to life with out any fun gluten, grains, sugar, dairy, or alcohol, so a relaxed day at the beach was perfect. Simple pleasures are where it’s at.

We typically only get to the beach once or twice a year, which is pretty crazy considering it’s only 20 minutes from us in Beverly Hills. But yesterday we popped over to Santa Monica Beach for a few hours of sun and sand and it was dreamy. There really is something restorative about saltwater. Not that I actually go IN the water (that would be crazy, it’s like 60 degrees – or at least that’s what it feels like!), but I’m all for laying out and enjoying the sun and the salty ocean breeze.

To me the beach is all about being comfy, but I attempt to still look somewhat presentable. A cute cover-up paired with shorty shorts, topped off with an oversized sunhat and sunnies, usually does the trick.
