Tokyo Trend Watch: Say Hi to Thigh Highs

Legwear has been the accessory du jour the past few years here in the States, but on our recent trendspotting visit to Japan, it was in overdrive.
Which means dressing up your gams is only going to become more and more de rigueur stateside.
What the ladies of Tokyo are rocking these days? Thigh-high socks and leggings — think schoolgirl meets Pretty Woman.
While we’re still not quite ready to rock the straight-up Pretty Woman look ourselves (black thigh-highs) and wouldn’t exactly recommend this look for the office, we are quite smitten with the idea of slipping into a preppier more Gossip Girl version a la these Hansel From Basel kneepad socks.
