This past Sunday was full of things I love to do: eating, shopping, eating, napping, eating. Isn’t summer the best?
Here is what I wore for a day of treasure-hunting at the flea market and refueling at some delicious little stops along the way.
After a breakfast of the best homemade french toast (recipe to come), we headed over to the Melrose Trading Post flea market for a day of treasure-hunting.
I love how close to home this flea market is and I picked up the cutest little hat for only $15 and some cute vintage earrings for only 10 clams.
Then, we met friends for bottomless mimosas and brunch at Faux Pas (adorable atmosphere, yummy food, but they have a few kinks to work out).
Next we roamed around the Farmer’s Market, smelling spices and drooling over giant cookies while indulging in post-brunch ice cream cones at Bennett’s ( I couldn’t resist a scoop of cherry vanilla, even though I was full to the gills).
Then, in preparation for seeing Clueless in the Montage Gardens that night, we picked up sandwiches from Mendocino Farms.
Of course, after a day of sugar and sunshine, we never made it to the movie in the park, but the “Not So Fried” chicken sandwich and sriracha potato salad made the perfect post-nap dinner.
Here is what I wore:
SANDALS: Sseko Designs Teal Sandal (you can tie the straps a million different ways and proceeds go to a great cause) c/o; HAT: Vintage (similar here – just type in “cloche”); SWEATER: Kelly Wearstler Basket Weave Top; TANK: Kelly Wearstler (no longer available but similar here); SHORTS: Scooped these up at Giuliana Rancic’s yard sale for $5; SUNNIES: SEE (old but similar here and here); CHAINLINK BRACELET: LOFT Metal and Pave Link Stretch Bracelet c/o; CUFF: Kelly Wearstler (no longer available but similar here); EARRINGS & TRIO OF BRACELETS: Kristen McCloud; Bracelet: Neiman Marcus (old but similar here) c/o; RINGS: J.Crew and Luc Kiefer; BAG: Vintage (from the Alameda flea market; a whopping $2)
