Happy Friday! How was your week? Have any fun weekend plans? Here’s what we’re up to + some sales + a huge DREAM HOUSE GIVEAWAY you don’t wanna miss!
First, today’s the early bird deadline to WIN THIS HOUSE! Be Oprah’s neighbor (kind of) and support the arts. Read more on how to enter here, but that pool above could be yours (and if you win, I’ll bring the pool floats!). Earlybird means that in addition to winning the dream house, you’re also entered to win a Tesla. NBD.
Second, last weekend was SO much fun with Sydne, Sheryl, Reuben, An and Chris in town. So much fun that some of us extended Monday into Sunday Part II. It was the most fun and truly relaxed I’ve been in ages.
But as tends to be the case with autoimmune challenges (I hate the word disease and illness, because it personally puts me into “victim” mode – no judgment when others use it though, as it is the truth), the next few days were spent recovering.
It’s like the body says you can have fun, but not too much fun. Literally, on Monday night right before bed, I got dizzy again and my body was like that’s it. So Tues-today were spent in recovery mode tempering down inflammation, but now I’m feeling much better again so we’ll see what the weekend holds.
The struggle between living a life where you enjoy and feel carefree but then pay a price after vs. living a life where you seldom enjoy but don’t get sick is an interesting one. But I’m learning and optimistic.
On that note, some reading for your weekend pleasure…
Jennifer Esposito’s cookbook is out! I’ve been waiting months for this book. If you have Celiac, gluten problems, any autoimmune challenges or just want to eat well, check it out.
I also bought Gluten Dude’s book, From Crappy To Happy: The Naked Truth About Living With Celiac Disease. He always keeps it real so I’m excited to read it.
I’m also reading Believe Me by Yolanda Hadid about her battle with Lyme Disease. Um, notice a trend?
Did you watch Will & Grace last night? It was better than ever.
How about This Is Us? I was in tears. All the feels.
Cutest blog post ever.
Dying to check out I’m Dying Up Here.
Have you been following Mackenzie’s honeymoon? This is my dream trip!
Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s script sold for a record-breaking price… And no, I didn’t buy it, but I wish I could have.
Have a great one xo!
