How was your weekend? While it went by way too quickly (doesn’t it always?), we spent what felt like the beginning of summer with a drive through the desert, where I got to take this new green gingham dress for a spin — literally! It got me to thinking: What do you wear when you feel bloated and blah?

Do you like dresses that are loose, floaty and free?

They’re my absolute fave — hello, you can eat whatever you want and move so freely!

It was really windy when we shot these photos, which made the dress even more fun for twirling.

But back to this dress…and said question.

How To Style a Gingham Dress: Fashion blogger Kelly Golightly shows fun ways to style a gingham dress by Innika Choo in Palm Springs, California.

It’s one-size-fits-all and just free layers of scalloped gingham by new-to-me Australian designer Innika Choo. You can see more of her pieces here and here.

Dresses like this are what I reach for when I’m bloated and feel uncomfortable in my own skin.

Aren’t there at least a few days every month…you know when…where you feel bleh and like nothing fits?

The worst.

Or, on those days, do you prefer something more fitted that pulls you in and make you feel more put together?

Fred Baby admitted that this wasn’t his favorite dress on me because it’s SO voluminous.

But that’s exactly what makes it so fun and special — plus, so perfect to reach for on those days when nothing feels right.

Let me know your go-to look when pajamas are all you feel like wearing…
