wanelo; who to follow on wanelo; top people to follow on wanelo; kelly golightly

I have a new obsession and it’s called WANELO. Here’s what it stands for & why you need to know about it.

wanelo kelly golightly; universal wishlist

WANELO stands for WAnt NEed LOve, and it’s kind of like Pinterest but for shoppers. You know how you might find something you love on Pinterest and then you click through and it just takes you to a Tumblr page with zero info on where to get the item? Well, WANELO is all products all the time, from fashion to home decor to gifts, and when you click on an item it takes you straight to where you can buy it. Dangerous! But in a good way.

It’s the best way I’ve ever seen of keeping a universal wishlist and bookmarking the things you’d love to buy. Which really comes in handy given that we are in the throes of the holiday season. Woot! Woot! Now when someone asks what  you’d like for Christmas or your birthday, you can say check out my WANELO! (Wait, does that sound dirty? I digress…)

Nearly every store you can think of, from independent Etsy shops to big brands like Kate Spade, are on WANELO. It’s super minimal, clean and easy to use (and completely free). There’s an app too. I’ve started checking my WANELO before my Instagram, which is saying a lot. You know how much I love my Instagram.

Here’s how it works:

After you choose a username, you simply choose some stores and/or people to follow and then their products show up in your feed. The more people/stores you follow, the better because then you have a constant stream of cool things to choose from that you can pin into your own collections.

You can create collections like Cute Shoes or Bag Love or collections like I did called Dress Up Golightly and Casa Golightly or whatever you heart desires. And everyone has a collection called Things I Want as Gifts, which is your wishlist. You get a dedicated link to it, which you can easily share if, say, Santa were to ask.

You can also create Stories, which are curated collections using pieces you’ve already pinned to your collections. You simply pull nine items into your theme like I did with Palm Springs Christmas Party (above) or Pink + Gold (below). If you want you can even share your stories with the press of a button on Instagram or even your blog. It’s like playing magazine editor (my favorite game!).

Check it out. I’d love to hear what you think and we can follow each other!

Follow me on WANELO. I’m KellyGolightly.

p.s. Encourage your friends and family to use it too that way you can see their wishlists. It would make holiday shopping so much easier.
